Sega's Portable Master
On October 6th 1990 Sega released their answer to the Nintendo Game Boy console. Now you could play Sega's coolest games on the bus, train or in a car... in colour!
Whilst it shared much of it's technology with the 8-bit home console, The Master System, it was very much it's own console with numerous exclusive games. Also able to play Master System carts thanks to an adaptor this was a system with an insane number of must play titles.
The Game Gear's backlit, landscape screen meant that it could be enjoyed in any lighting conditions, however this let to it's largest flaw... A way smaller battery lifespan.
Selling 10.62 million units worldwide, it's a real corker!
