Sega's Master of Systems
A third generation home console, this Sega 8-Bit machine was first released under the name Mark III in Japan in 1985. In 1986 it was redesigned and released as the Master System in North America with Japan & Europe receiving it the following year in 1987. Brazil and Korea would then fall under it's charm in 1989.
Although both Japan and North America didn't warm to it the console and Sega as a company found a home in both Europe and Brazil where it vastly outsold the Nintendo Entertainment System thanks to it's huge portfolio of arcade hits.
